Death of the Author [DEMO]

A singleplayer tarot game about a character fighting for agency.

In this game, you play as a character who attempts to gain control over their story, despite the wishes of the Author.

Use a deck of tarot cards to draw Scenes prompts, then modify these prompts to change the course of your story.

To play this game, you need a deck of tarot cards and a way to record your story.

Death of the Author is a hack of Anamnesis.

THIS IS A FREE DEMO

The demo only contains Chapters 1-3, each with 5 Scene prompts.

The final version of the game will have 5 Chapters. There will be 14 Scene prompts for Chapters 1-4. It will also have examples of play and finalized cover art.

If you enjoy the game, please let me know! Depending on the game's reception, I may bring on an editor and layout artist, and/or create a physical version of the final release.
